Hillsborough 3 Wakehurst 0 Saturday 23rd January 2015
Despite Wakehurst missing a few regulars and Anthony Shaw volunteering for goalkeeper duties at the last minute they were on top for most of the first half without creating any real clear cut chances. Half time 0-0
The second half started much the same, with McLarnon and Laverty driving forward for Wakehurst, and Millar having a great game in defence. Midway through the second half, lack of concentration lead to Hillsborough opening the scoring against the run of play and late in the game they ran in another two to take the shine of another impressive performance.
Heads were down after the match but huge credit must go to the boys for the hard work they are putting in. Full time 3-0

Wakehurst 5 Ballybot Celtic 1 Saturday 5th December 2015
While Storm Desmond was battering the province at the weekend, a tornado arrived in Wallace Park, Lisburn in the form of Wakehurst U16s performance. With the wind on their backs in the first half Wakehurst opened the scoring when Jason Fleming beat two players down the right and, after seeing his shot saved, Anthony Shaw was on hand to smash the ball into the net from the edge of the box. The only real chance the visitors had was from a free kick on the edge of the box, but Jamie Stevenson in goal got down and made an excellent save at his far post. With 20 minutes gone and Wakehurst in full control they extended their lead through a well taken Tyler Barr goal. Any chances that Ballybot were making were being snuffed out quickly by the Wakehurst defence and in particular Brandon Millar. With Wakehurst narrowly missing a chance through James McLarnon it was no surprise when they went three up with Aaron Campbell scoring direct from a corner. Half time 3-0
Into the second half and with the wind in their faces and Wakehurst expecting a difficult half, it was actually the Ballymena boys that played the better football and scored a 4th goal when Tyler Barr ran onto a Ronan Laverty pass and slid it under the keeper. Playing some of their best football of the season Wakehurst found the net again when Anthony Shaw picked up a McLarnon pass and hit a 25 yard shot into the roof of the net. Celtic pulled back a consolation goal in the last minute from the penalty spot.
This was a great all round team performance, not giving Celtic any time on the ball and scoring freely, Wakehurst should take great confidence from this result. Final score 5-1

Wakehurst 1 Newry City 4 Saturday 28th November 2015
Wakehurst started the better team with Campbell playing in a more advanced role creating chances early on. However it was Newry that took the lead shortly before the break against the run of play. With Declan Dobbin and Anthony Shaw in great form in defence and Ronan Laverty and James McLarnon pulling the strings in midfield, Wakehurst looked like a different team as of late. Half time 0-1
Wakehurst started the second half brightly as Jacob Penny was linking up well causing real problems for the Newry defence. Wakehurst had a chance to equalise from the penalty spot, however Campbell struck the ball sweetly but the keeper got down low to his left to make the save. He redeemed himself five minutes later as Penny again made a run down the right and Campbell providing the cool finish.
With defensive lapses Wakehurst conceded 3 very late goals to leave the score line 1-4 in favour of Newry.

Wakehurst 1 Hillsborough 2 Saturday 14th November 2015
After defeat against the same opponents two weeks ago in the league Wakehurst were looking for a better result this time round in the NIBFA Cup. The match started with Wakehurst having a lot of the possession and should have scored a couple of early goals with chances for McCalmont and Campbell. With 25 minutes gone in the first half and Wakehurst still dominating they got hit with a sucker punch when Hillsborough opened the scoring with their first shot of the match. Half time 0-1
In a tighter second half and with the Wakehurst midfield of McLarnon, Laverty and Campbell working really hard to keep them on top chances were at a minimum. Then with 20 minutes remaining and with time in the box Hillsborough extended their lead. This seemed to be game over as a contest but Wakehurst, having found a bit of fight in them recently, took the game to their opponents in the last 15 minutes. A chance arose to pull one back when the ever more influencing Jacob Penny was brought down in the box for a penalty. Up stepped Aaron Campbell with a well struck shot only to see the keeper pull off an excellent one handed save low to his left. Then, from Campbell's resulting corner, Declan Dobbin rose highest to power a header into the net. Wakehurst were throwing everything at Hillsborough now in an attempt to equalise, and in the last minute with Jacob Penny linking up well with Ben McGarvey, he was brought down, this time the referee saying just on the edge of the box, to Wakehurst's frustration. Campbell struck the free kick with power only for it to beat the keeper but not the retreating defender on the line. Full time 1-2
